The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

This is interesting, because I kind of emphathize with the fish. Sort of standing out in orange with no real place to hide with the spector of something unplesant watching. Tres allegorical, my friend.

The weather in Chi-town was legendary this weekend. 65 and sunny! But it's going to rain and possibly snow again by the end of the week. Fuck a bunch of this.
